Villa San Terenziano

Near the village of San Terenziano in the heart of Umbria is this child friendly holiday villa, the Villa San Terenziano. A very comfortable home away from home for children of all ages. The central location makes it an ideal starting point to explore Umbria.

The Villa San Terenziano is a 200year Umbrian farm house recently converted into a modern home maintaning the typical style of Umbria. The owners of this private home are from Ireland and have created this holiday home with their own grandchildren in mind. Hence why the pool is fenced and there are toys in the house. Though this is an ideal home for families with children, it has also been built and furnished in a comfortable style making it convenient for all ages.

The pool is situated next to the house and measures 9 by 4.5 metres. It is 1.40 metres at its deepest and 1 metre at the shallow end. The garden is well kept and the views all around are astonishing: green hills with olive trees and farmland dotted with country houses.

It is only 5 minutes driving to the village of San Terenziano where one can find the first necessities. Larger supermarkets are at 20 minutes driving, either in Bastardo or in Todi-Ponterio, near the exit of the E45.

Perugia is at 40 minutes driving, Assisi 50 minutes, Montefalco 30 minutes, Todi 25 minutes, Rome is 2 hours driving.

From the large covered terrace with comfortable garden furniture and lounge seats one enters in the kitchen with a gas stove with 5 flames, a large fridge with freezer, a dishwasher and an electrical oven. Two steps lead up to the comfortable living room with ceiling fan, sofa's, books to read (english), a television and an open fire place. There is a Ipod docking station and video games for children.

From here, to the other side of the house there is a door directly to the garden and the pool area. Two steps down lead to the study with sofa and toys for children to play. This study is connected to the outside terrace as well as to the kitchen.

Near the livingroom and kitchen is an extra service toilet.

Between the kitchen and the study there are stairs leading up to the first floor. On either side of these stairs is a double bedroom and to one side a bathroom with shower.

Going up another two steps is the "second floor". This floor has a small fence on top of the staircase, so children cannot easily get to the stairs. Also here on either side of these stairs are the two bedrooms. One has a double bed and the other two single beds. The second bathroom with the built in bath is on this floor.

One of the double beds can also be made as two single beds. One of the bedrooms had a ceiling fan. There are two travel cots available, as well as two high chairs.

In the garden is a barbecue and a pizza oven.
