Casale Padronale holiday home on the Tuscany-Umbria border with private poolOne enters the house in the hall with the small chapel on the left and the sitting area on the right. Passing through the sitting area you get into the big kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, 4 pit cooker, oven, microwave and all you need to cook good Italians meals. There is a marble top table with chairs.

The kitchen is directly connected to the dining area on the left and also has doors to the outside where one can dine al fresco.  The hall has a wide antique staircase leading to the first and second floors where all the bedrooms are.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms. The one on the left is big and has an equally spacious bathroom with bath centered in the middle and a separate shower. The bed is a double. The bedroom on the right is a real suite, with sitting area and double bed and huge bathroom, also here with the bath in the center and a separate shower in the corner. The second floor has three more bedrooms, all with double bed and all have a bathroom with a shower as well as a bath. One has a sitting area before you get to the bedroom.

Each bedroom has a flat screen TV with DVD player where one can attach an i-pod to listen to music. There is a stereo in the living room. Next to the dining area on the ground floor is a washing machine available.  Wifi internet is available.

The garden outside is like a park on several levels. Age old cypress and other trees can be found here. There is a pool of 7m by 3.5 m and 1.50m deep with lovely views over the valley.

There is ample parking space in front of the house.

Shops can be found in Trestina, a 10 minutes drive from the house. The small hamlet where the house is, has one restaurant at walking distance, no shops

The availability of Casala Padronale:

May 2015:

Firstly thank you for all your assistance in organising our stay at Casale Padronale - you did make everything so easy! We had a wonderful 10 days at the villa - great style and lots of space - individual bathrooms a major plus! Plenty of room for get togethers with all of us but also space for privacy. Mario was a great host - lots of suggestions for places to go, restaurants and shopping - and quickly sorting out any problems that we had - and they were minor ones like getting us extra ping pong balls and coffee mugs! The local restaurant is very good too. It's a great place for a group of friends to relax and have fun.

Best regards, Christine from Australia

2013:

A lovely house on a good location, ideal for a group of friends. We were here with 10 friends and had a great week. The house has plenty of space, the bedrooms are large, one always has a possibility to be private. The garden has several terraces and there is a good pool. We enjoyed the company of the owner who was always present in the back ground in case we needed some help or advice. He knows where to find the good restaurants and one evening he cooked for us. We surely will come back here !

Best regards, Anne from Holland

From 2012:

Hi,

We had a very nice holiday in the beautiful big villa. The weather was nice and the surroundings are beautiful, lovely quiet and yet with a good and affordable restaurant on walking distance. The pool was not very big which is a small drawback, but we knew this in advance. There is a lot of space and excellent beds, nice bathrooms. Fly screens in the windows and extra pillows would have been nice, but this is only a small remark. The kitchen was well appointed but the cupboards in the kitchen were not very clean, this could have been maintained better. The reception was very friendly and the owner came every day to clean the pool, without disturbing. We appreciated the fact we were able to use the immense music, dvd and book collection. We are very happy with all.

With best wishes, Carlo, Myriam, Maura en Enea

From 2011:

Dear Saskia and Willemijn,

from a rainy Holland we wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our holiday in Casale Padronale in Lugnano. The house exceeded all our expectations, so big, so very lovely restored and extremely well furnished. We have relished the huge garden and the swimming pool of course. I have cooked daily for 11 people in the well appointed kitchen and that was a real feast every time. It was, in one word, fantastic and we will enjoy our memories of this holiday for a long time to come. Maybe we can use your services again a next year … but for now we first need to start saving up some money.

Best wishes, M. B.

The downpayment is 30% of the rental sum. The remainder has to be paid one month before arrival. The security deposit is 500 euro, to be paid upon arrival.

In Italy the tourism tax has been introduced. Each town can decide independently whether to apply this tax. It is important to keep in mind that the prices on our website do NOT include the tourism tax. Where we received confirmation from house owners that they have to ask for this tax, it is written underneath the price table.

Villa in Umbria is an intermediary and as such rents out holiday homes and apartments on behalf of their owners. When you book we will be sending an agreement in which you will find the bank details for the down payment and the final payment.
