Casa Ficulle

Near to the A1 in the west of Umbria, almost exactly halfway between Rome and Florence is this cosy holiday home with private pool. It overlooks the typical hilly landscape of this area with dots of lime stone, fields of grapes and olive trees.

Having our own private hilltop villa allowed us to relax, unwind, and breathe in the beautiful countryside. The views from the private patios are incredible and the home’s layout is really accommodating.

The house is built on top of a hill and the views from the terrace as well as from the pool are amazing. The owners made a bocce court, a typical Italian game that will entertain the whole family. It is a great home to come back to after a day exploring in Umbria, Tuscany or Lazio.

The nearest little village is Ficulle for your morning coffee amongst locals. At only 2 kms is a supermarket and in 15 minutes one gets to the A1 that connects Florence in Tuscany with Rome in Lazio. There also is a railwaystation here with direct connections to both Rome and Florence.

Driving distances from the house:
Fabro Scalo 15 minutes, Ficulle 10 minutes, Orvieto 45 minutes, Florence and Rome are both about 1 hr and 50 minutes, Perugia 1 hr and 15 minutes, Assisi 1.5 hr, Siena 1 hr and 20 minutes, Lake Trasimeno 55 minutes, Città della Pieve 40 minutes, Lake Bolsena 1 hr, Viterbo 1 hr and 20 minutes.

July 2017:

If you are in favour of a peaceful holidays, this is the place to be. A very good and quiet accommodation in the centre of Umbria, located on a mountain top so you have a stunning view of the surroundings. We liked the accommodation, the pool, the view you can enjoy from early morning till sunset. And many thanks to Stefano who was ready to answer all our questions!

October 2016:

Beautiful rooms, wonderful views, multiple bathrooms and close to Florence. Surrounding towns and small villages give you the feel of Italy and the wonderful food and hospitality they provide. We stayed for two weeks but wished we had more time to enjoy the peaceful and magnificent of this country estate. The pool is right outside your door and the outdoor grill is nearby. The elegant but tasteful interior of the house is an extra bonus. We look forward to our return to this gem.

The downpayment is 20% of the rental sum to be paid upon booking. The final payment will have to be paid 8 weeks before arrival.
The security deposit is €400.

In Italy the tourism tax has been introduced. Each town can decide independently whether to apply this tax. It is important to keep in mind that the prices on our website do NOT include the tourism tax. Where we received confirmation from house owners that they have to ask for this tax, it is written underneath the price table.

Villa in Umbria is an intermediary and as such rents out holiday homes and apartments on behalf of their owners. When you book we will be sending an agreement in which you will find the bank details for the down payment and the final payment.

We know each vacation rental personally and also the owners of all the holiday rentals we have in our portfolio.
